But the Discovery Institute who are the main proponents of this non-theory certainly do believe it is the biblical god.

In addition it can easily be found out that all the people who ere "Expelled" were in fact not Expelled that in addition to the clear lies about evolution can be found here. I would point out that these aren't opinions they are clear accounts of actual Facts that the "Expelled" producers obviously lied about to make their movie. So, at the end of the day I still want to know if Lies are acceptable. Can people use them to advance their opinions or not?

Yes, they can | ||

...if their opinions are wrong.
Wrong opinions require wrong evidence to support their case. In the long run, lying to back up a wrong opinion is a considerate act. Deliberately placing corrigible errors in the presentation of a wrong opinion saves other people the hassle of having to take either the opinion or its exponent seriously. |

Why?
Why do they need to lie? They fill their cup with half truths and misquotes and sell it to the uniformed masses who lick it up without even a basic understanding of the subject at hand. This "movie" is filled with nothing but lies and half truths that cause nothing but more ignorance and some here actually have the gall to attempt to defend it. How dare you. How dare you who have no understanding of this issue actually propose that this be taught to our children, and how dare you support those that lie and then claim that they speak the truth. How dare you claim that the words of those whose history is in itself a lie is nothing but the truth. How dare you claim moral superiority with lies and misquotes, taking the words of others and slashing and ripping them so out of context. Shame on you. How can you? How can you support and defend a lie with a joke and a smile? How can you encourage others to propagate the lie and insist that it is truth? How can you espouse your belief regardless of the devastation it causes? How can you continue to support this when the lies are obvious to everyone who casually looks at them? Where is your honesty and moral superiority when faced with the overwhelming evidence of such duplicity? Where is your outrage that someone would take your beliefs and twist them to fit their own agenda? Where is your courage to face the world with your beliefs and state that this may be so, but I believe regardless? Where is your integrity? When did you trade these things for your self respect? When did you begin to trade your honesty for lies? When did you turn from your faith of truth and honesty and decide upon lies and deciet to promote your system of belief? Who have you become that you can espouse such lies with a straight face and a laugh? Who taught you to encourage misunderstanding and intolerance? Who is it that you follow that preaches that it is morally acceptable to lie and deceive as long as the ends justify the means? Who are you trying to reach? Those who follow you already? Or those whom do not? Who did you think that would be sucked into your lies and deceptions, and who do you think will pay the price for them? And who do you believe will judge you for this in the end? |

I still haven't seen this movie, but plan to... all these questions notwithstanding. I really don't think that ID should be taught as science, though

Sadly, the Discovery Institute is located in downtown Seattle. It's embarrassing is what it is.

Well, yes, I suppose. But you wouldn't need to pay for a transatlantic flight if you planned an arson attack. Just a thought...

It's a for-profit, religion-themed park which will be partially funded by property taxes in some fashion. I wonder how a lawyer would look at that in terms of constitutionality? Mac

Hey Mac - most of the opposition is centered on 'quality of life' issues of the people that live around it. They say the property value would drop,
traffic would be a problem, etc... Interestingly enough, no one ha raised any separation argument.

Maybe you're an asshole. Probably, given that I have low tolerance for the type of ignorance you display.
